Flexxible│SUITE provides administrators with a set of additional features to manage virtual machine upgrade processes for VDI, published desktops (SDI) or virtual apps such as:
• Template versioning control.
• granular control to provide individual virtual machines upgrades.
• Ability to schedule virtual machine upgrades.
Control the risks of fully upgrading a whole catalog of VMs when a change has been performed in the gold image or template. Changes can be applied to a single VM, validated and then propagated to other VMs in the catalog as required.
The Flexxible│SUITE scheduling feature provides the ability to perform upgrade processes unattended. This allows tasks to be performed out of hours, minimizing the impact of any disruption for users.
This long standing feature adds unique value to Citrix Studio by allowing the testing of a single VM before rolling out updates to the entire catalog. Reduce time and risk associated with standard upgrade processes.
After a change to a golden image, Flexxible│SUITE ensures the upgrade process is performed in a safe and standardized way.
By upgrading a single VM in the catalog, the base disk creation process is controlled and isolated from the wider upgrade process. This allows for a much faster upgrade process for the rest of the VMs.
Administrators can perform the upgrade on a single VM, providing the ability to undertake additional validation without affecting production users. Upgrades can also be performed on VMs not currently in use.
This allows to perform progressive upgrades in production hours without affecting end users.
